US-based public multinational corporation Qualcomm recently announced a new Internet of Things (IoT) Services suite, aimed to deliver comprehensive IoT as a Service (IoTaaS) solutions to enable global digital transformation of smart cities and connected spaces.

Qualcomm said the IoT suite also demonstrates the momentum gained by the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Programme, which had brought together 300 members ever since its launch back in April 2019 and showed a real-time example of the scope of the achievements with the launch of the Qualcomm Smart Campus in San Diego.

Sanjeet Pandit, Senior Director, Business Development and Global Head of Smart Cities, Qualcomm Technologies, said that the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Programme and the Qualcomm IoT Services Suite bridge the gap for IoT service providers and entities and enable faster and smarter solutions.

The IoT Services Suite is developed to deliver an end-to-end solution for plug-and-play deployment, from silicon to modules to devices to software and platform integration.

The IoT Services Platform integrates chipset-enabled subsystems to support data operations, middleware, cloud services, enhanced security, user experience, analytics, collective intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI).

The company added that when the Qualcomm IoT Services Suite is used in integration with other smart programs, the companies using this can quickly bypass common fragmentation. This makes the process to deploy smart spaces easier and more cost-effective.
