Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ) announced today its latest industry partnership, with Cyient, a global provider of engineering, manufacturing, geospatial, network and operations management solutions.
Council Associate Partner Cyient has been making an impact around the world for more than 25 years, through its 14,000 employees who leading the development and delivery of technology and data solutions in markets as diverse as telecommunications, rail, utilities, geospatial and aerospace.

Beck believes the role of geospatial applications is going to become a key tool for delivering and managing successful smart cities projects in Australia as we look to replicate and scale solutions. “Cyient’s vendor agnostic business model allows them to utilise technologies from leading geospatial vendors such as Autodesk, Bentley, Esri, GE, Hexagon and others for building 3D city models and applying intelligence to planning and designing of critical infrastructure. Their Smart City Platform integrates 3D geospatial data with the various city centric domains such as asset management, disaster management, traffic management, street lighting, communications, etc. As such, Cyient is primed to support the regional market place in the development of smart cities,” says Beck.
