The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency has awarded Tutor Perini Corporation an $839M contract to supply technology applications at three underground transit stations.
Radio Dispatch System – City of Cleveland, OH
The City of Cleveland has just approved a contract award of nearly $32M to Motorola to replace their 15-year-old radio system with a digitally trunked radio dispatch system.
Advanced Meter Infrastructure – City of Bay City, MI
Bay City has given a contract award worth $6.7M to Honeywell Elster and ElectSolve for providing an advanced meter infrastructure system to integrate smart meter technology into its internal system.

Internet Access and Telecommunications – City of Boca Raton, FL
Boca Raton has released a bid through the E-rate program to provide fiber internet services and telecommunications to one of the city’s public schools.
Analysis of Local Transit Services – City of El Monte, CA
El Monte released a request for proposals for route-by-route analysis of local transit services as well as a customer satisfaction survey, to help optimize the city’s public transit service.
LCD Assembly – City of New York, NY
The Transportation Department of the City of New York has put out a solicitation for vendors to provide LCD assembly services.
Parking Management System – City of Wheaton, IL
Wheaton, a suburb of Chicago, has a request for information out for a parking management system that reduces the city’s manual processes and streamlines parking operations.
Future Leads in Budgets and Spending Plans
Companies interested in selling smart products or services can get the most foresight by finding potential projects within agency budgets and capital spending plans. Tinley Park is expecting to spend $180K over a three-year period from 2019 to 2021 on outdoor warning sirens, including sound systems, components and accessories.
