Australia's smart cities, and what they are doing

The Smart Cities Council has released a summary of its 2019 award winners, demonstrating the depth and breadth of the incredible work being advanced by the public sector and their private sector and academia partners.

Seventeen winners and highly commended awards across 13 categories were given to recipients at Smart Cities Week Australia in Sydney on October 30th 2019. The awards have established themselves as the nations leading award scheme that recognises excellence and celebrates leadership.

The award categories are:
