Premier Smart Cities event welcomes NBN Co limited sponsorship

Smart Cities Week with Digital Twin Week, being held online and in person in Melbourne in February 2023 expects to welcome over 200 smart places stakeholders, policymakers and innovators in advancing conversations and action plans to deliver more liveable, workable and sustainable cities, towns and regions.

Smart Cities Week offers sessions designed to bring demand and supply side stakeholders together in a way that incubates business opportunities and incubates the smart cities investment pipeline. As the program announcements start to roll out, attendees will be able to pencil in their choice of experience sessions, speakers, workshops and networking events.

This year, nbn® joins as a Gold Sponsor of the event, helping bring the smart cities conversation to more stakeholders.

NBN Co’s Executive General Manager, New Developments, Andrew Walsh said:

“The team works closely with property developers every day to understand what they want to do, how they want to do it, and how we can help them realise their vision.

“Developers have told us they want broadband infrastructure partners who save or make them money, are easy to build and work with, deliver reliably to their schedules, and add value to their projects.  So, that’s exactly what we are working to deliver.

“We want to provide a product that delivers now and for the future, a product that we build once, build right and build at the right price, a product that adds real and enduring value to the developer and their customers, the buyers and renters.”

“The program for Smart Cities Week, which will be announced soon, looks to showcase action, impact and tangible next steps for both public and private sector participants as we work across the divide to design and deliver a future of place for all,” said Executive Director of Smart Cities Council Australia and New Zealand, Jannat Maqbool. “Throughout the programme for Smart Cities Week we will have online-only sessions, plenary presentations, Board Room discussion, Experiences and classroom learning, alongside a guest speaker at breakfast or drinks, discussing Smart Nation and the Future of Place, and highlighting data leadership through our inaugural awards presentation.”
