Introducing the Global Alliance of Smart Cities Councils

Submitted by scc staff on January 29, 2015

The Smart Cities Council seeks to improve the livability, workability and sustainability of the world’s communities. We seek a better future for all.

To accomplish that, we now offer the opportunity for regional stakeholders everywhere to affiliate with the Council and leverage our best practices.

How it works
We welcome proposals to join our Global Alliance of Smart Cities Councils. Licensees will develop regional councils based on our model and with detailed guidance from our team. They will operate as Smart Cities Council NAME OF REGION -- for instance, Smart Cities Council India.

As such, licensees will have access to:

    • The Council's extensive knowledge base (guides, case studies, articles, decision support tools, presentations,) networking events, etc.
    • The Council’s network of smart city decision makers, vendors, potential partners and financing sources.

We call this "Council Best Practices." Global Alliance licensees will be exclusively authorized in their region to use the Council Best Practices and branding to educate, to partner and to earn revenue.

Qualifications
Applicants should be well versed in smart cities and have experienced, qualified personnel with applicable skills (analysts, editors, event producers) on their team.  A applicants are expected to provide a business plan, strong references and a strong financial position.
