SCCANZ Task Forces

Smart Cities Council ANZ task forces bring together leading practitioners who work as trusted advisors with public sector leaders and other stakeholders to raise awareness about the smart cities strategies that are improving the liveability, workability and sustainability of communities around the globe. Our current task forces in the region are highlighted below; learn more by clicking the task force title.

Digital Twin Task Force
The Built Environment Task Force represents a selection of built environment professions and sectors that are critical to ensure that core city-building processes – such as urban planning, design, architecture, asset management, and research – are advancing the opportunities of smart cities technology, and data driven decision making. 

Policy and Leadership Task Force
The Policy and Leadership Task Force will work to ensure leadership at all levels of government – from the Commonwealth to state and territory agencies and city and regional jurisdictions – understand that smart cities and communities must be front and centre in any conversation about economic growth and sustainability. 

Civic Innovation Task Force
The goal of the Centre for Civic Innovation (the Centre) is to build the capacity and capability of government and industry to digitally engage our communities, and embrace technology and data as a means to catalyse civic innovation, and unlock the wisdom and knowledge of the community. 

SCC Emerging Innovators (SCCei)
Emerging Innovators is an initiaitve to help nurture and accelerate the growth of young smart cities leaders and their contribution to the smart cities movement through networking, active involvement in industry activities and expressing their thought leadership through articles and events. 

Urban Mobility Task Force
The goal of the Centre for Civic Innovation (the Centre) is to build the capacity and capability of government and industry to digitally engage our communities, and embrace technology and data as a means to catalyse civic innovation, and unlock the wisdom and knowledge of the community.
