Image removed.California’s utility companies are up against a 2020 deadline to produce one-third of the state’s electricity using renewable generation sources, and this is generating concern about the stability of the state’s electric grid. In a California desert town recently, Council Lead Partner S&C Electric Co. provided products and support for a pilot microgrid project designed to enhance grid performance. 

During a recent utility outage, the island formed by the S&C equipment provided uninterrupted service for the entire 25-hour service disruption.
