Image removed. The utility serving Madison, Tennessee used to read its water meters manually every other month, estimating usage in intervening months. Even so, the process took eight to 10 readers, in four to five cars, more than 20 hours. After switching to RF metering technology from Neptune Technology Group, a Council Associate Partner,  it now takes two days, two readers and one truck.

But those are just a few of the benefits, as you'll read in the case study -- The road to R900 RF technology -- linked below. For example, eliminating the estimated billing gave the Madison Suburban Utility District (MSUD) true monthly billing for the first time and reduced the number of high water bill complaints. It also freed up personnel for tasks other than meter reading and reduced the incidence of repetitive motion injuries caused by the manual reads. Read the case study to learn more about Neptune's technology and why MSUD selected it.
