REPL appointed as PMC for underground sewerage scheme

The Madurai Smart City Limited (MSCL) selected Rudrabhishek Enterprises Private Limited (REPL) as a project management consultant (PMC) for monitoring and supervising the underground sewerage scheme (UGSS).

The sewerage system project is part of the Madurai Corporation for the North of Vaigai River Phase II.

REPL will support MSCL in project management, including planning, budgeting, supervising, managing, evaluating, reporting and coordinating to ensure timely implementation of the project.

REPL will plan for a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) to improve water supply and sanitation.

Chairman and Managing Director of REPL, Pradeep Misra, said that the city is expanding rapidly along with the civil infrastructure, including water supply and sanitation, which require an effective and better sewerage facility.

MSCL is developing the restoration and rejuvenation of the lakes of the Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) corridor project in Madurai. To support its project, MSCL has hired REPL to monitor the implementation of the sanitation project.

Executive Director of REPL, Dr Harish Sharma, said that the detailed project report (DPR) had been prepared and the contractors have undertaken the detailed field surveys, gave the variations and commenced the project.

The company is working on many smart city projects in Varanasi, Indore, Kanpur, Dehradun, Moradabad, Itanagar, Jabalpur and Vellore.

It is also working on Building Information Modelling (BIM) Consultancy for the Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase II, sewerage management system in Thiruvananthapuram, Online Building Plan Approval Systems (OBPAS) in Uttar Pradesh, rural water supply scheme in Assam.
