Welcoming Avvista to the Smart Cities Council Community

We are pleased to welcome Avvista as the newest member of the Smart Cities Council.

Around the world, drinking water resources are under increasing threat. Climate change, competing demands, and environmental contaminants pose growing risks to water security and quality. Regional and remote communities face even greater challenges, with limited financial and human resources, higher service costs, rising compliance requirements and dispersed, hard-to-reach assets.

Avvista addresses these challenges head-on. Their specialist platform enables intelligent water management, helping utilities and communities transition from reactive operations to proactive, data-driven stewardship of critical water assets. With a user-friendly dashboard, Avvista empowers councils, operators and community leaders with timely, accurate and locally relevant water data. Their solutions are designed to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and deliver strong ROI through network digitisation, an approach proven to enhance water security and sustainability.

Importantly, Avvista also supports funded implementation options, helping resource-constrained regions adopt modern water management technology without prohibitive upfront costs.

We are delighted to have Avvista join the Smart Cities Council community and look forward to supporting their mission to strengthen water resilience, particularly for the communities that need it most.

Together, we can build a future where every community, regional, remote and urban, has access to secure, sustainable and intelligently managed drinking water.
