The Smart Cities Council (SCC) is pleased to support the 10th edition of the World Cities Summit (WCS), taking place in Singapore from 14–16 June 2026 under the theme "Liveable and Sustainable Cities: ACT Now!".

Recognised as one of the world's leading platforms for urban innovation, policy and city leadership, the biennial Summit brings together government leaders, industry experts, academics and practitioners to address the challenges and opportunities shaping cities around the globe. Since its inception in 2008, the World Cities Summit has welcomed representatives from more than 250 cities worldwide and has become a catalyst for international collaboration, knowledge sharing and urban transformation.
Co-organised by Singapore's Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), WCS 2026 marks a significant milestone as the Summit celebrates its tenth edition. The event will focus on how cities can move from vision to action through bold leadership, innovative partnerships and practical solutions that improve liveability, sustainability and resilience.

A Global Conversation on the Future of Cities

Delegates attending WCS 2026 will engage across six thematic tracks designed to explore some of the most pressing issues facing cities today:

  • Cities for People – exploring how cities can better meet the needs and aspirations of residents.
  • Resilient & Regenerative Cities – examining resource circularity, regenerative design and low-carbon futures.
  • Smart Cities – investigating the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in shaping future urban environments.
  • Financing for Cities – addressing innovative approaches to funding sustainable urban development.
  • Future Cities – exploring new city models, density, urban growth and future planning.
  • WRLDCTY Connections Stage – a new platform showcasing visionary innovators and transformative approaches to urban challenges.

For Smart Cities Council members, the Summit presents a unique opportunity to engage with global thought leaders, city executives, policymakers and solution providers while gaining insights into the emerging trends influencing urban development across every region of the world.

Expanding the Urban Innovation Ecosystem

A key feature of WCS 2026 will be the co-location of two major industry platforms: the Asia Infrastructure Forum (AIF) and Expo Real Asia Pacific. This convergence is designed to strengthen collaboration across city development, infrastructure investment, real estate and technology ecosystems while creating new opportunities for partnerships and innovation.

The addition of these events reinforces the growing importance of integrated approaches to urban development, where financing, infrastructure, technology and governance must work together to deliver better outcomes for communities.

Why SCC Members Should Attend

As cities navigate increasing complexity around climate resilience, digital transformation, population growth, infrastructure investment and community wellbeing, the need for practical collaboration has never been greater.

World Cities Summit provides a platform where city leaders, government agencies, industry experts and innovators can share lessons learned, explore new partnerships and identify solutions that can be adapted and implemented in their own communities.

For organisations working across smart cities, infrastructure, sustainability, technology, governance and urban innovation, WCS 2026 offers direct access to global conversations that are shaping the next generation of cities.
