After an action-packed few weeks of global activity, the Smart Cities Council (SCC) team is now heading to Paris to participate in the 5th OECD Roundtable on Smart Cities and Inclusive Growth, held on 27 October 2025 at the OECD Headquarters.
This year’s roundtable — themed “Artificial Intelligence for Advancing Smart Cities” — convenes global leaders from government, business, academia, and civil society to explore how AI is transforming the way cities plan, manage, and deliver essential services. Key discussions will focus on ethical deployment, sustainability, governance frameworks, and how AI can support more inclusive and resilient urban development.
SCC President Corey Gray will be part of this important dialogue, joining senior representatives from the OECD, UN-Habitat, GIZ, and MOLIT Korea, alongside mayors, city officials, and leading innovators from across the world.
The event follows an exceptionally busy month for the Council, with SCC activations at Smart City Expo Poland, GITEX Global Dubai, and the Asia Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) in Dubai — reinforcing SCC’s growing role as a connector between global smart city ecosystems.
While Corey represents SCC in Paris, Sunil Casuba, SCC Advisory - Global Lead, will be flying the flag in Dubai at the APCS, where he will lead discussions and demonstrations of the SCC Maturity Assessment Tool — a framework designed to help cities benchmark and accelerate their smart transformation journeys.
The OECD Roundtable marks another milestone in SCC’s mission to bring together policymakers, industry experts, and innovators to advance sustainable, AI-driven urban transformation and inclusive growth worldwide.
