SCC Marketplace: Helping Members Find Trusted Products, Technologies & Service Providers

05.06.26 06:34 AM By Karen Norden

Finding the right technology, service provider or implementation partner can be one of the most time-consuming and challenging aspects of delivering successful projects.

To help address this challenge, the Smart Cities Council (SCC) is pleased to launch Marketplace – a new member-focused platform designed to connect SCC members and the broader ecosystem with trusted products, technologies, platforms and specialist service providers.

Marketplace brings together innovative solutions from across the SCC network, providing a central location where members can discover new technologies, explore service offerings and connect directly with organisations supporting smart cities, digital transformation and infrastructure projects.

Why Marketplace Matters

Whether you are planning a new project, exploring emerging technologies or looking for specialist expertise, Marketplace has been designed to help members:

  • Discover trusted products, technologies and service providers
  • Access innovative solutions from across the SCC ecosystem
  • Connect directly with organisations offering proven capabilities
  • Learn from implementation examples, use cases and case studies
  • Reduce the time required to identify and evaluate potential partners
  • Access exclusive member offers, preferred pricing and other benefits where available

Rather than spending time searching across multiple websites and suppliers, members can explore a growing collection of curated providers through a single platform.

More Than a Directory

Marketplace is more than a directory.

It provides a structured pathway for members to discover, evaluate and engage with organisations that are actively participating in the SCC ecosystem. Every Marketplace provider has been introduced through SCC, creating a trusted environment where members can confidently explore solutions and services relevant to their projects and organisational objectives.

Marketplace focuses on products, technologies, platforms and service providers that support project delivery, operational performance and business outcomes.

Marketplace Categories

The initial Marketplace categories include:

  • Building & Infrastructure Technologies
  • Business Services
  • Digital Transformation
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance

As Marketplace continues to grow, additional categories and providers will be added to reflect the evolving needs of SCC members and the broader smart cities ecosystem.

Part of SCC's Capability & Capacity Building Ecosystem

Marketplace complements SCC's broader suite of member services and initiatives, including:

  • Smart Cities Academy
  • SCC Advisory
  • SCC Events
  • SCC Task Forces

Together, these programs help members build capability, access expertise, connect with peers and discover practical solutions that support smarter, more sustainable and resilient communities.

Looking Ahead

Marketplace is just the beginning.

Over the coming months, SCC will continue expanding the platform, introducing new providers, additional categories and enhanced member benefits. Our goal is to create a trusted destination where members can easily discover, evaluate and connect with the products, technologies and service providers shaping the future of smart cities and communities.
