Join the Smart Cities Council Delegation at the World Urban Forum 2026 – Baku, Azerbaijan
Dates: 17–22 May 2026
Hosted by: UN-Habitat | UNITAC Hamburg
The World Urban Forum (WUF13) — the world’s leading conference on sustainable cities will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 17–22 May 2026, bringing together mayors, ministers, investors, and innovators to shape the next era of urban development.
Next year’s theme focuses on “Housing as the Foundation for Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Cities.” With nearly three billion people living in inadequate housing and over a billion in informal settlements, WUF13 will tackle one of humanity’s greatest challenges — ensuring that housing becomes a catalyst for opportunity, equity, and urban resilience.
“Following our strong engagement at the OECD Round Table in Paris, this is another opportunity for the Smart Cities Council to lead meaningful global dialogue this time focused on housing, equity, and resilience,” Corey Gray, Chair & President, Smart Cities Council
