Why SCC Global Task Forces Have Been Established

Cities and communities are facing increasingly complex challenges across infrastructure, mobility, digital transformation, resilience, AI, sustainability, governance,  ethics and citizen wellbeing.

SCC Global Task Forces move beyond discussion and into practical cross sector collaboration and leadership.

Task Forces are action and outcome-oriented working groups that:

  • identify key industry challenges and opportunities
  • develop practical, standardized frameworks, playbooks and guidance
  • contribute global best practice thought leadership
  • showcase real-world case studies and implementation examples
  • support industry collaboration and cross-sector engagement
  • contribute expertise into SCC programs, events and initiatives including SURN
  • shape practical outcomes for cities and communities

Task Forces will become a key part of the SCC ecosystem, helping transform industry insight into structures, standardized, practical guidance, collaboration, frameworks, policies, tools and implementation outcomes.
