Australia and Singapore Strengthen Climate Collaboration Through Built Environment Decarbonisation Webinar

06.02.26 07:18 PM By Karen Norden

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission, in partnership with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and the Smart Cities Council (SCC), is hosting a timely online webinar focused on decarbonising Singapore’s built environment.

The online session, Decarbonising Singapore’s Built Environment, brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to explore how cities and businesses can respond to growing climate and sustainability expectations across the region.

Participants will hear directly from BCA about Singapore’s built environment decarbonisation priorities, regulatory direction, and emerging market demand. These insights will provide valuable guidance for organisations seeking to align with Singapore’s national sustainability goals and expanding green infrastructure agenda.

The webinar will also feature insights from the Smart Cities Council, including a panel contribution from Corey Gray, Chair and President of SCC. Corey will share practical perspectives on what it takes to be successful in the Singapore market, including navigating partnerships, market entry pathways, and positioning innovative solutions for long-term growth.

Through real-world experience and global networks, SCC will highlight how companies can connect with city leaders, regulators, and investors to scale climate-positive technologies and services across Asia-Pacific.

This initiative forms part of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission’s Export Academy program, supporting Australian businesses to build international capability and access high-growth sustainability markets.

By bringing together government agencies and industry networks from both countries, the event demonstrates the importance of cross-border collaboration in accelerating low-carbon urban development and strengthening Australia–Singapore trade and innovation links.

The session is designed for professionals working across construction, infrastructure, property, sustainability, and smart city technologies, as well as exporters seeking to expand into Southeast Asia’s green economy.
