Wellington, New Zealand | 5–6 May 2026

The Smart Cities Council is pleased to announce Gallagher Security as a Supporting Partner and Official Networking Function Sponsor for Smart Cities Week NZ 2026, taking place in Wellington from 5–6 May.

This partnership brings together a globally recognised technology provider with a practical, delivery-focused programme aimed at strengthening how cities and communities plan, coordinate, and deliver infrastructure and services.

As part of the partnership, Gallagher Security will play a key role in supporting both the programme and delegate experience, including presenting the official networking function on Tuesday evening—an important touchpoint designed to foster meaningful engagement between government, industry, and technology leaders.

Smart Cities Week NZ 2026 is designed as a working programme, bringing together local government leaders, infrastructure partners, and solution providers to focus on real-world implementation. Through a combination of closed council sessions, cross-sector forums, and structured networking, the event aims to accelerate collaboration and drive measurable outcomes across New Zealand communities.

Karen Norden, Global Events Lead at the Smart Cities Council, said the partnership reflects the importance of aligning industry capability with practical delivery.

“Gallagher’s involvement strengthens the programme by bringing relevant expertise and a strong understanding of operational environments. This is exactly the type of partnership that supports meaningful progress—connecting capability with real implementation challenges.”

The partnership provides Gallagher with visibility across the full event lifecycle, including programme participation, communications, and onsite engagement, while also enabling direct connection with a targeted audience of decision-makers and delivery leaders.

The Networking Function, presented by Gallagher Security, will provide a dedicated setting for deeper conversations and relationship-building, complementing the structured sessions and supporting the event’s focus on collaboration and action.

Smart Cities Week NZ 2026 continues to build momentum as a platform for practical progress—designed not just to share ideas, but to support cities and regions in delivering better outcomes.

Registrations are now open, with a 20% Early Bird offer available until 17 April, providing an opportunity for organisations to secure access to the programme and engage directly with peers across government, infrastructure, and industry.

The programme is also strategically aligned with ANZ Digital Twin 2026, delivered immediately following Smart Cities Week NZ. This complementary event extends the conversation into digital infrastructure, data, and operational capability, creating a strong opportunity for continued engagement and deeper exploration of solutions across the same audience.
