The Smart Cities Council is proud to highlight and support the continued global expansion of Deep Tech Week, a leading international conference series bringing together founders, investors, engineers, and ecosystem leaders building the technologies shaping the future of cities, infrastructure, and society.

Deep Tech Week has emerged as one of the most important platforms for physical and infrastructure-focused innovation, creating open, collaborative environments where breakthrough technologies can move from concept to real-world deployment.

A Global Platform for Founders Building the Future

Deep Tech Week is a decentralised global conference series focused on emerging technologies across AI infrastructure, robotics, climate, energy, mobility, advanced computing, and physical systems — bringing together founders, investors, and scientists building what many describe as the “science fiction future.”

The platform connects thousands of participants across multiple global cities, enabling direct engagement between innovators and the investors, partners, and ecosystem leaders who can help accelerate their growth and deployment.

Past speakers and participants include founders, venture capital leaders, and researchers from leading organisations such as Andreessen Horowitz, MIT Media Lab, Harvard University, Atomic Industries, and Reflect Orbital — reinforcing Deep Tech Week’s position at the centre of global deep tech innovation.

Upcoming Global Events — New York, Austin, Berlin, Seattle and San Francisco

The 2026 Deep Tech Week global series will span multiple innovation hubs, including:

The upcoming New York event represents the next major gathering of the deep tech ecosystem and will bring together founders, investors, and industry leaders from across North America and globally.

Smart Cities Council and Deep Tech Week: Strengthening Collaboration

The Smart Cities Council recently collaborated closely with Deep Tech Week as part of Silicon Valley Start-up & Investor Week Edition III, where Deep Tech Week Founder Andrew Cote served as Master of Ceremonies and played a key role in facilitating meaningful founder and investor engagement.

This collaboration reflects the strong alignment between Deep Tech Week’s mission — accelerating breakthrough technologies — and Smart Cities Council’s global focus on enabling solutions that improve cities, infrastructure, and communities.

Smart Cities Council will continue to engage with Deep Tech Week across its global events, with particular focus on:

  • Supporting Smart Cities Council members and cohort companies participating in upcoming Deep Tech Week events
  • Facilitating investor introductions and ecosystem access
  • Connecting global innovators with city leaders and infrastructure partners
  • Creating pathways for deployment of technologies into real-world urban environments

Looking Ahead: San Francisco and Smart Cities Council Activities in June 2026

A key milestone will be Deep Tech Week San Francisco in June 2026, where Smart Cities Council will return with an updated version of the Silicon Valley Start-up & Investor Week Edition IV and additional ecosystem engagement activities.

This will provide Smart Cities Council members and global founders with expanded opportunities to:

  • Connect with the global deep tech ecosystem
  • Showcase technologies to partners and infrastructure stakeholders
  • Accelerate pathways to scale and deployment

Additional Smart Cities Council activities aligned with Deep Tech Week will be announced in the coming months.

A Shared Mission to Enable the Future of Cities

Deep Tech Week represents a critical global platform enabling founders building infrastructure, AI, robotics, climate, and urban technologies to connect, collaborate, and scale.

Through its continued collaboration with Deep Tech Week, Smart Cities Council is strengthening its global ecosystem and creating new pathways for companies developing technologies that will shape the future of cities and communities worldwide.

Stay tuned for upcoming Smart Cities Council announcements connected to Deep Tech Week New York, San Francisco, and other global innovation hubs.
