Following the recent announcement of the Smart Cities Council’s strategic partnership with Saifee Events for the 3rd ANZ Digital Twin Conference 2026, momentum continues to build as the programme takes shape for May in Wellington.
Taking place on 7–8 May, ANZ Digital Twin 2026 will bring together leaders from government, industry, and academia to explore how digital twin technologies are transforming infrastructure, urban systems, and the built environment.
Building on a strong global track record of Digital Twin events across cities including Dubai, London, and Brisbane, the 2026 conference will focus on practical applications—highlighting how digital twins are being deployed to improve planning, operations, sustainability, and decision-making across complex environments.
The event forms part of a broader, highly aligned week of activity in Wellington.
Earlier in the week, the Smart Cities Council will deliver its Smart Cities Week NZ programme (5–6 May)—a focused, working forum bringing together councils, infrastructure partners, and technology providers to address real-world delivery challenges across New Zealand.
Together, these programmes create a powerful, end-to-end experience:
- Smart Cities Week NZ (5–6 May): Collaboration, coordination, and practical delivery
- ANZ Digital Twin 2026 (7–8 May): Technology, data, and operational capability
This alignment reflects a shared objective—moving from strategy and discussion through to implementation and systems-level execution.
For participants, this presents a unique opportunity to engage across the full spectrum of city and infrastructure delivery in a single week—connecting with decision-makers, exploring solutions, and building partnerships across both programmes.
The ANZ Digital Twin 2026 programme will explore key areas shaping the future of infrastructure and cities, including:
- Digital infrastructure and smart asset management
- Data integration and real-time decision-making
- Sustainability and resilient urban systems
- Cross-sector collaboration and ecosystem development
With a targeted audience of industry leaders, policymakers, and technology innovators, the event provides a high-value platform for knowledge exchange and engagement across the growing Digital Twin ecosystem.
Held in Wellington, the combined programmes also offer a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and experience one of the region’s most vibrant and connected capital cities.
