Image removed. This white paper from Arup, in collaboration with Council Lead Partner Qualcomm, examines intelligent connectivity as it applies to urban mobility: how people and things move through cities.  As the authors state, enabling effective transport of citizens and goods is critical to a city’s economic and social vitality, the well-being of its inhabitants, and its consumption and emissions footprint. When urban mobility systems work — cleanly, collaboratively, efficiently — the entire city benefits as a result.  A variety of urban challenges are deeply linked with transport issues: air quality and safety issues, congestion management, pressure on energy systems and quality of life concerns are just some examples covered in the report.
