Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ) today announced the formation of an alliance of its partners - We Build Smart Cities - to share their knowledge and expertise with the world.
SCCANZ is the regions peak body representing local councils, state, territory and regional agencies, solution providers, research partners and startups that are re-shaping how technology and data accelerates prosperity for our communities.
We view the Australia New Zealand region as the global epicentre for smart cities innovation, action and investment.
We are home to the world's leading smart cities - the policy makers shaping them, the projects driving them, the innovation that powers them and the knowledge partners that help enhance them.
As we enter what has been termed the 'defining decade', and chart a course to achieveing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, greater commitment, collaboration and innovation is required. And this needs to be achieved at-scale, across the world.
From our smart cities policy making, catalyst programs, effective deployment of solutions and world leading collaborative research and education - Australia and New Zealand innovation is here to support our national and international peers.
Members of SCCANZ are primed, and have formed the We Build Smart Cities Alliance.
