Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Managing Director Tarun Daga said Tata is committed to transforming Jamshedpur into a smart city. The commitment to the city’s growth is demonstrated over a period of time and will continue in the upcoming years to come.

During a virtual press meet, Daga said that steps were being taken to make Jamshedpur a smart city. He added that Tata Steel wants to provide the best civic amenities which include water, better roads, electricity, and develop it as a green city. All the services such as water, sanitation, and electricity will be connected to the internet.

A cycling track is under construction in the Circuit House area and the Kadma-Sonari Link Road. A cycling track had previously been laid near Tata Pigment. The road widening work is being executed at a fast pace and the dividers are given green cover. The works are in progress at Tube Baridih, Agrico, and Golmuri. The road between Circuit House roundabout and Sai Mandir of 1.3 km is also being widened along with a footpath being built with a service road.
