The coalition is co-chaired by the Council’s Singapore-based KC Tay and Mayor Bernard Faustino of Cauayan City, Philippines. Other members include the Philippine Dept of Science & Technology (DOST), Isabela State University (ISU), and the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (SCN).
Initial activities will include the development of training programs. The Task Force will also use the Smart Cities Council’s proven Readiness Program to help local governments plan and implement smart city projects. The training materials and Readiness Workshops will be supported by Smart Cities Activator, the Council’s online planning tool.
The Task Force will also collaborate with the ASEAN Smart Cities Network in focus areas such as Smart Infrastructure, Smart Education, Smart Tourism, Smart Agriculture, and others.
