SenRa, a pan-India LoRaWAN public network operator, and CareBand, an innovative healthcare-focused wearable technology company, announced their collaboration to deploy smart solutions in India to safeguard citizens in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Together, SenRa and CareBand will combine their knowledge in wireless communication, wearables, and machine learning to keep people safe and healthy.

Recently, SenRa announced free LoRaWAN Network for customers deploying IoT solutions to fight against Covid-19. As part of their effort, SenRa also reached out to partners in search for innovative solutions, which could solve some difficult challenges cities are facing amidst the pandemic. With the release of CareBand’s new SafeTrack solutions focused on contact tracing and social distancing, it was only fitting for the two companies to join hands enabling governments, public health organizations, universities, and corporations to get back to work, school, and the new normal safely. Both the companies have been working very closely to integrate CareBand’s SafeTrack solutions with SenRa’s LoRaWAN network and have already started planning go-to-market strategies to deploy end-to-end solutions across India.

This collaboration comes shortly after the launch of the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (India’s self-reliant scheme), focused on reviving the economic activity impacted by Covid-19 pandemic, and India’s nationwide Aarogya Setu contact-tracing app.

“I have spent the majority of my professional career in health and life sciences and realize that we are uniquely positioned to provide solutions which can improve the current situation we are facing”, said SenRa’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Hosseini. “I am so excited to work with other like-minded people, who are passionate about healthcare and public safety as much as I am. Adam and his team have really done amazing work in the healthcare segment and I know their solutions will have a positive impact in India.”

“I am thrilled to be working with SenRa to expand our reach of the CareBand solution to India. There is a massive opportunity to bring low-cost LoRaWAN infrastructure and healthcare wearables to enable people to live healthier and safer lives,” said CareBand’s Chief Executive Officer, Adam Sobol. “With the onset of Covid-19, it made sense for us to adjust our wearables to focus on contact tracing and social distancing and to enable cities to reduce the spread of disease and proactively manage future outbreaks. I am excited by the opportunity to work with SenRa and look forward to getting people back to work, back to school, and back to the new normal.”

SenRa, a contributing member of the LoRa Alliance, is a pan-India Low Power Wide Area Network Provider (LPWAN), specifically LoRaWAN, for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions and applications. SenRa is currently deploying LPWANs throughout India for projects which require secure, reliable, long distance communication at low cost. SenRa is working with global partners to deploy smart solutions across many IoT segments in India.

CareBand is dedicated to keeping people safe and healthy through emerging communication technologies and machine learning. CareBand’s senior care solutions aim to improve the quality of life and standard of care of people living with dementia. The solution is a wearable device that monitors activity and location. With the integration of machine learning technology caregivers can proactively manage neuropsychiatric symptoms such as wandering, agitation, and apathy through non-pharmacological interventions. With CareBand, people living with dementia can stay safe, function at their highest level of independence, and avoid unnecessary hospitalisations while caregivers have peace of mind.
