In various parts of Pune, garbage ATMs will be set up to collect recyclable waste such as plastic bottles, glass bottles, metal cans, and plastic wrappers. The Pune Municipal Corporation's (PMC) Standing Committee has approved the startup company Ecomax Go’s innovative plan.

These ATMs will collect recyclable waste. It will also help to relieve the strain on waste collection from door to door. To participate in this project, citizens must register with this machine using their mobile phone numbers. The type of waste to be selected must then be specified. A plastic bottle will cost Re. one, a glass bottle will cost Rs three, metal cans will cost Rs two each, and plastic wrappers will cost 20 paise each.

There will be free Wi-Fi available 24 hours a day, the ability to open a new bank account, purchase a new SIM card, and purchase movie, train, and bus tickets at the location where these machines will be installed. ATM waste will be disposed of in a scientifically sound manner.

The ATM will have a height of 6 ft and a width of 4 ft. There will be three screens on this machine. The following screen will display data on machine usage, municipal advertisements, and advertisements from other businesses. South Delhi, North Delhi, and Varanasi are all home to these machines. According to Hemant Rasne, Chairman of the PMC Standing Committee, 40 machines will be installed in public places in Pune city in a phased manner over three years for 10 years.
