
A new app for the Mangaluru Smart City, which allows citizens to file grievances and get information on various services at their fingertips, is ready for launch. The app—One Touch Mangaluru—has features for things like lodging complaints about any irregularity in door-to-door waste collection for example.
According to the developers, the app is the easiest and fastest way to connect citizens and the city administration when citizens need any information about Mangaluru. Citizens can also air their grievances and upload photos of incidents and monitor the status of the grievances lodged by them.
The Android app available on Google Play store—1touchmangaluru—has several sections for information related to transport solid waste management incident reporting tourism events polls surveys news weather feedback and other features.
Arun Prabha KS, General Manager – Technical, Mangaluru Smart City (MSCL) said the app is in its trial run to get the initial feedback from users and within 15 days the full-fledged version of the app will be launched officially. All features in the app will be monitored through the command and control center of the MSCL and information will be updated.
