Sandra Baer, the Council's Cities Director, moderated a panel on enhancing sustainability in urban development projects during the Arab Future Cities Summit in Doha, Qatar in April. Council Global Partners Cisco and Microsoft and Associate Partners Schneider Electric and DNV-GL Energy were also among summit participants.
Baer served on a panel at The Inclusive City: The Fletcher-MasterCard Annual Inclusion Forum that took place in Boston May 1-2. MasterCard is a Council Global Partner. Former Boston Mayor Tom Menino, pictured below with Ben Barber, author of “If Mayors Ruled the World," were both conference speakers.
May 12-13 Baer was in Madrid where she was on a smart cities panel at the SWAN Forum's Conference Toward Smarter Water: The Road Ahead. SWAN is a member of the Council's Advisory Board. Council Global Partner Itron and Associate Partners ABB, CH2M HILL and Schneider Electric also participated on panels during the Madrid water conference.
