Complete Urban adds smart city advisory to award winning practice

Submitted by Adam Beck on June 30, 2021

Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ) continues to grow its community with the announcement today that award winning architecture, landscape and project management practice Complete Urban (CU) has joined its membership ranks.

With almost 20 years of delivering award-winning work across architecture, engineering, landscape design and project management disciplines, “Complete Urban is perfectly positioned to work with SCCANZ on its continuing programs around accelerating smart places and urban development projects across the nation”, said Adam Beck, SCCANZ’s Executive Director.

“For almost five years SCCANZ has been leading the development of smart places knowledge resources and facilitating dialogue across Australia, and through the Future of Place project we know the Complete Urban team will add value to our mission.

“With Complete’s depth of smart cities advisory that extends from network design and data leadership to smart places development, we know their contribution to helping the marketplace accelerate great outcomes will be of the highest standard,” said Beck.

“The establishment of Smart City Advisory within Complete Urban will create a unique offering for Councils and other clients, and I am very excited to be joining the CU team,” said Ian Hatton, Principal Smart Cities.

“CU’s 20-year track record of high-quality design and delivery will now include the full range of smart city solutions, from Internet of Things through to systems automation. Our goal is to make smart cities technologies part of the design process as opposed to an afterthought. The combination of services offered by CU will provide clients with opportunities to realise maximum public value through their investments in public assets and infrastructure,” said Hatton.
